Obituary:
On the evening of February 8, 2025, Flight 88 safely touched down at the Palace of Heaven, bringing with it a devoted passenger, Mildred “Aunt Tutsy” Campbell. Born on April 7, 1936, in Trelawny, Jamaica, to the late Lewis & Admira Solomon. Mildred was educated in Trelawny, Jamaica, and graduated from Ulster Spring Primary School. Mildred did a lot of domestic work like housekeeping and cooking while living in Jamaica.
Professionally, Mildred was employed with Radiant Life Assembly as a teacher aide until she retired. Mildred previously attended United Pentecostal before migrating in 1992 to the U.S., where she lived a fulfilling life. She had a passion for singing, so she joined Orlando Pentecostal Church. She was a faithful and willing servant who instilled love, wisdom, and Christian values for her family to follow. Her favorite scripture that brought her peace throughout all understanding was Revelation 3: 7-8. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking, reading her Bible, watching Christian TV shows, and feeding dogs and cats.
There is never a time we will say goodbye to the love of our lives. Just a simple: I’ll see you later and save a place for me behind God’s glorious gates. As a mother, Mildred’s devotion to her 6 children knew no limits. This matriarch cared for them with every ounce of her being, nurturing them with love, guidance, and encouragement. She made it a promise that they would attend church every Sunday and serve the Lord. Her children, grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren will carry her spirit with them as they continue to grow. She was indeed the epitome of a Proverbs 31 woman.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 7, 2025 from 4-6 PM at the mortuary. A service of Celebration will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025, 10:00 AM at Orlando Pentecostal Church, 4340 N. Hiawassee Road, Orlando. Interment: Orlando Memorial Gardens, Apopka.
