Obituary:

Michael Bernard Brown, 63, of Orlando, departed this life on Thursday, July 30, 2020. On July 14, 1957, Michael Brown was the first-born child to Willie Brown and Mrs. Christine Brown of Riceboro, GA. Michael was affectionately raised under the care of his grandparents, the late Ruben & Virgina Bacon, where he also received his early education in the Liberty County school system. Early in life Michael accepted Christ as a devoted member of Midway Presbyterian Church.

In 1976 Michael was relocated to Atlanta, GA and lovingly fostered by Titus and Deloris Bacon where he grew up with a host of cousinly brothers. Michael obtained his GED from Atlanta Technical College on October 4, 1979.

While in Atlanta, Michael became a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. Timothy Fleming, and was a devoted member of the usher board. Michael also worked for many years at the Fort McPherson military base, which is where he found the love of his life in 1997. Michael and Rosa (McCain) Brown married on June 5th 1999.

Michael and Rosa’s union blossomed many wonderful blessings; one child Tytiana Brown and a stepdaughter Genise Jackson. They relocated to Orlando 2013 and became members of New Covenant Baptist Church, under leadership of Leroy Rolle, where Michael continued to serve on the usher board. Michael and Rose have traveled and built a life full of cherished memories to be long remembered.

Michael Leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Rosa Brown, and their daughter Tytiana Brown and stepdaughter Genise Jackson. His sister Theresa Brown Washington, his niece, Lon Brown, Riceboro, GA Aunts Ervin Tira Gardner, Miami FL, Deloris Bacon, Atlanta GA. A grand Aunt Leona Bacon Williams, Savannah, GA, devoted cousin; Gardner, Tyrone (Toria) Bacon, Michael (Sherry) Bacon, Titus (Sonja) Bacon, Margaret Bacon, Rubben Bacon; James Whitehead, Annette (Ricky) Brantley, Christopher (Meghan) Gardner.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 7, 2020 from 4-6PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2020,11:00 AM at New Covenant Baptist Church, 2210 S. Rio Grande Avenue, Orlando with Pastor Leroy Rose III, officiating. Interment: Orlando Memorial Gardens, Apopka.
