Obituary:

Matthew “Mack” Core, 80, of Orlando, transitioned from labor to reward on Thursday, January 14, 2021. Matthew was born on March 24, 1940 in Fargo, GA to Inez and Talmadge Core. Professionally, he was employed as a auto mechanic for several years.

Matthew dedicated his life to service, family and community. He was one who instilled wisdom, integrity and Christian values for all his family and for others to follow. Mack was a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Joann Michelle Core; daughters, LaWanna Hardges, Michelle A. (Topper) Core; brother, Talmadge Core, Jr.; sisters, Inez A. Core, Linda C. (Amos) Berry; 2 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 22, 2021 from 4-6PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2021, 2:00PM at El Bethel Temple at Orlando, 3000 Bruton Boulevard, Orlando with Bishop Cliff C. Morris, officiating. Interment: Washington Park Cemetery, Orlando.
