Obituary:

Mary Jane Fletcher, 84, of Orlando, departed this life on Monday, February 10, 2025. Mary was born on June 23, 1940 to the late Carrie and Frank Miller Sr. Professionally, Mary was employed with Morrison’s Cafeteria as a baker until she retired.

Mary loved the Lord, her life, her family, and the church. She was a former member of New Zion PMBC, Orlando, where she was ordained as a Deaconess. In her spare time, Mary enjoyed cooking, reading, and spending quality time with her grand and great grandchildren. She was a faithful and willing servant who instilled love, wisdom and Christian values for her family to follow. She was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother, and friend with a heart of gold who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Deaconess Mary is survived by her devoted children, Barbara (U.T.) Jones, Marion (James) Benbow, Mark Fletcher; 3 sisters, Sarah Miller, Julia Mae Woodland, Sally Miller; 3 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025 from 4-6PM a the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025, 11:00 AM at Postell’s Mortuary Chapel, Orlando with Pastor Cynthia Smith, officiating. Interment: Washington Park Cemetery, Orlando.
