Obituary:
Mary Alice Brown, 65, of Orlando, departed this life on Monday, December 4, 2023. Mary, affectionately known as “Koop”, was born on January 14, 1958 in Ft. Myers, Florida to Rosia B. Green and Thomas Brown.
Mary dedicated her life to providing for her family. She loved being around her family and friends. Even in her later years, she remained a vibrant woman who always loved to dress down and enjoy life. She adored her beautiful grandchildren and they adored her. In her spare time, she enjoyed watching football, playing cards, and playing the lotto. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her: daughter, Precious Brown; son, Geffrard (Bridget) Joseph; 6 brothers, Curtis Brown, William (Natasha) Moore, Raymond Brown, Joseph Bryant, Pastor Tommy (Mary) Brown, Moses (Janice) Brown; 6 sisters, Vera Brown, Patricia Brown, Brenda Brown, June Pierre, Tarsha Brown, Kimberly (Eddie) Hardin; 5 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 15, 2023 from 4-6PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2023, 11:00 AM at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, 654 W. Anderson Street, Orlando with Pastor Rollie Murray, Jr., officiating. Interment: Washington Park Cemetery, Orlando, FL.
