Obituary:
Mandrell Donta “DJ” Henderson, 39, of Orlando, departed this life on Wednesday, August 18, 2021. Mandrell was born on June 14, 1982 in Orlando, Florida to Pamela H. Hayes and Charles (Sam) Hayes. To this union, 3 children were born.
He was educated in Orange County Public Schools and graduated from Evans High School. Mandrell was a professional DJ. He also worked in construction and was a skilled barbequer. He was very close to his mother, children, siblings and friends. Mandrell loved entertaining and dancing at gatherings. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. To all his DJ’s, near and far, one love!
Mandrell is survived by his 3 sons: Mandrell D. Henderson, Jr., Christian Henderson, Gi’Vonny Henderson; mother, Pamela H. Hayes; siblings, Patrice Johnson, Aleta Jones, Shavonte Johnson, Quentin Johnson, Reggie Henson, Mike Hayes, Bill Hayes, Celeste Hayes, Charles Hayes, Jr., Charlie Bryant, Cheryl Bryant; maternal grandfather, Adolph Henderson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 27, 2021 from 4-6PM at the mortuary. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2021, 1:00PM at Washington Park Cemetery, Orlando with Pastor Joe Hobbs, officiating.
