Obituary:

Madge Elaine Doggett, 84, of Windermere, departed this life on Tuesday, June 22, 2021. Madge was born in Capels, West Virginia on November 10, 1936 to two God-fearing hard-working parents, the late Herbert and Pearl Evans. She was the daughter of a coal miner. She was named after Madge St. Clair, she did not like the name Madge so she would use her middle name Elaine and many know her as Elaine instead of Madge. She was the second oldest child and the first baby girl out of twelve siblings where she acquired the importance of Christian family values and responsibilities.

While attending Kimball High School she met Harvey Doggett, Jr. After graduating from high school, she married her long-term sweet heart, Harvey Doggett, Jr. Soon after, they moved to Detroit, Michigan seeking for better opportunities in work. She studied key punching and computer programming at Wayne State University. She used her skills as a key-puncher for the Michigan Employment Security Commission until she retired in 1991.

She raised seven beautiful children while she and her husband worked hard to make a better living for their children. Seeing them graduate from high school and sending some of them to college. Surely, she was a hidden figure. She enjoyed going camping with her neighborhood friends and visiting her friends on the Pembroke block.

Throughout her journey she has always served in the choir, supported missionary work and loved the Lord. No matter where she lived, Michigan, Nevada, Tennessee and Florida she was always a faithful member of the Church where she provided her services to help and encourage others. She was a God-fearing woman, a noble wife, a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She will truly be missed by all. She now leaves to cherish her memory her three loving daughters: Sharon Graham (Albert), Sylvia Doggett-Jones (Manual), and Aletha. Also, 7 siblings, 5 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. Madge was truly a Proverbs 31 woman.

The family ask in lieu of flowers that donations be made in Madge Doggett’s honor to help the less fortunate. Donations can be made in memory of Madge to Transformation Gathering Place, Inc. via Zelle: 407-718-0491, or donations can be mailed to Transformation Gathering Place, P.O. Box 1183, Gotha, Florida 34734.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 from 5:00PM until services begin at 6:00PM, Rejoice in the Lord Ministries, 8053 Gilliam Road, Apopka with Pastor Roderick Zak, officiating.
