Obituary:
Macula Marc, 110, of Orlando, departed this life on Wednesday, August 25, 2021. Macula was born on February 26, 1911 in LaGonave D’ Haiti, to the family Anice. She married Cedoine Marc in 1948 and raised their family together in Haiti. As a young girl she was very industrious and hard working. She became a farm worker, who worked the land with all her heart and soul.
While pitching for water, Cedoine Marc noticed grandma resting under a tree, and that’s when their life long romance started. They fell in love and decided to tie the knot in 1948. Together, they bore and raised 4 children. They were blessed with plenty and often took in other children whom they raised as their own. As her children became adults and started families of their own, she played a major role in raising her grandchildren, often traveling from Haiti to the United States to support with child rearing. She left her home in Haiti, and moved to the United States permanently in 1999. She continued to play a very active role in the lives of her children and grandchildren.
She remained fiercely loyal and independent even to her last days. Right before her final moments, she was seen humming her favorite songs with her eyes closed.
Our dear Macula lived life fully, and enjoyed activities such as sewing, gardening, going to church, exercising, going to holiday dinners and acts of service for others to name a few.
She was a dedicated mother, grandmother, and friend. She loved working with her hands and was deeply committed to her faith and family. She impacted many generations through her unconditional love.
Today she is survived and remembered by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and the many friends she made along the way. She leaves to cherish her memories: children, Marie Marc, Iradieu Marc, Osanto (Vedette) Marc, Maculeuse (Erode) Phicil; 28 grandchildren; 52 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 4, 2021 from 10:00AM until services begin at 11:00AM, The Kingdom Church, 800 N. Pine Hills Road, Orlando with Pasteur Wilson Bazilme, officiating. Interment: Orlando Memorial Gardens, Apopka, FL.
