Obituary:

Luther Clyde Davis, 64, of Orlando, departed this life on Thursday, March 19, 2020.  Luther, a lifelong resident of Orlando, was born on January 18, 1956 to Louise and Chester Davis, Sr. He served in the US Army and was later a self employed sanitation worker for several years. He was a devoted father, brother, grandfather and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving daughter, Letitia (Darius) Davis; siblings, Don J. (Anita) Davis, Chester (Virgie) Davis, Jr., Tom (Rubina) Davis, Glenda (Michael) Davis-Richardson, Wendy (Rod) Davis-Golden; 3 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 3, 2020 from 5-8 PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2020 at 11:00AM, Postell’s Mortuary Chapel, Orlando, with Pastor Rolous Frazier, Jr., officiating. Interment: Florida National VA Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.

    Many of us who new Luke, may not have known him as a advocate for equality, and a positive influenced for other brothers and sisters to dilgently seek their purpose in this world, and rightfully so. Do not give up on your dreams, because Luther Clyde Davis never did! “Rest Your Spirit In Heaven My Brother”….
