Obituary:
Lizzie Washington Taylor, 98, of Winter Park, fell asleep and entered into eternal rest on Sunday, January 16, 2022. Lizzie, affectionately known as Ma’dea, was born on August 29, 1923 in Higgsville, GA to the late Ollie and Berry Washington. Lizzie dedicated her life to service, her family and community. She served the Lord with all her heart and was an active, lifelong member of United COGBF, Winter Park. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her friends. Above all else, she cherished the quality time she spent with her grandchildren. She instilled love, wisdom, and Christian values for all of her family to follow. Lizzie was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She leaves to cherish precious memories: daughters, Shirley Wolfe, Doris (Joseph) Taylor-Brooks; 5 grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 28, 2022 from 4-6PM at the church. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2022, 11:00 AM at United Church of God by Faith, 800 Symonds Avenue, Winter Park with Elder Herbert Green, officiating. Interment: Pineywood Cemetery, Winter Park.

Aunt Lizzie was more than just the rock of our family; she was the mountain. Our foundation. You will be missed by so many. Although physically not among us your teachings and words of wisdom will always be held dearly in our hearts
I am honored to have had an AMAZING, full of wisdom and the love of God great auntie. She was a God fearing auntie that will be greatly missed. I LOVED her but I know that God love her more.

OMG granny I’m so sad that you’re gone. But I can still hear your voice. I can still see your smile as your face would light up when I came around. You make the best barbecue pig feet and fried corn ever! I hate to see you go, But hated to see you suffer. I’ll always love you. You’re my favorite lady.
