Obituary:
On the evening of December 21, 2024, Flight-41 safely touched down at the Palace of Heaven, bringing with it a cherished passenger, Levin Grant Livatt Jr. Born May 21, 1983, in Orlando, Florida, to Levin LG Livatt, Sr., and Georgia Mae Character.
Levin was educated in Orange County Public Schools where he attended Lake Weston Elementary School and Edgewater High School. Growing up in Eatonville, Florida Levin enjoyed playing basketball and hanging out with family and friends. St. Lawrence AME was Levin’s home church since he was a small child. As the youngest of four children Levin was often treated as a “Golden Child”. Despite early life adversaries Levin was able to overcome all obstacles and grew to become a healthy, loving man.
At the age of 23, Levin accomplished his greatest goal in life when he became a father to a baby girl “The Girl”. After becoming a father Levin became an entrepreneur and had many business ventures in an effort to create security and generational wealth for his family. Levin was the owner of Brother & Brother’s Tree Service, LLC. Most recently Levin began a purchasing vehicles in an effort to start an affordable car dealership to help people in his community. In Levin’s spare time he enjoyed spending time with his daughter and playing cards. And those who knew Levin knew he loved to make his way around the casino or a card table “sign the table”.
An uncle’s love is unmatched. Levin’s love for his nieces and nephews was felt by anyone in their presence. He loved them all however, his niece Tiana Character held a special place in his heart as his Niece, Best Friend, and Confidant.
Levin’s legacy will forever be marked by his smile, generous spirit, kindness, and his towering stature. He extended himself to everyone he encountered, never turning his back on those he loved.
Levin’s memory will be honored and cherished by a network of pillars providing support and affection. He is survived by his only child Skyy Nicole Livatt “Fatt” and her mother and his good friend Eboney Williams “Muss”. He is preceded in death by his father Levin LG Grant Sr., and his maternal grandparents, Herley and Allie Mae Wilson. He is survived by his mother, Georgia Mae Character, as well as his siblings James Character, Marcus Character, and Robin Character (Willie) and a multitude of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 3, 2025 from 5-7PM at St. Lawrence AME Church, 549 E. Kennedy Boulevard, Eatonville.
