Obituary:

Leabert Desmond Grant, Jr., 28, of Orlando, departed this life on June 30, 2021. Desmond, as he was affectionately known, was born on December 18, 1992 in Orlando to Aquanette Beacham and Leabert D. Grant. Desmond attended Eccleston Elementary where he excelled academically and recieved several awards for honor roll. Later, he attended Carver Middle and Evans High School.

A son, brother, an uncle and a friend to many, Desmond’s life left an example of compassion, determination, empathy, independence, intuition, loyalty and strength. We will sorely miss him and will cherish his memory along with the love and laughter he provided us over the years.

Desmond is survived by both parents, Leabert Desmond Grant and Aquanette Beacham; siblings, Takaram Baker, Ashley Powell, Amber Powell, Patrick Graham, Tenkamein Beacham, Chester Grant, Shawn Grant, Ira Grant, Tashieka Oliver, Dawayne Grant, Rabia Graham, Kedon Grant, LaShay Grant, Kedon Grant, Akeem Brown; and a host other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 5, 2023, 2:00PM at Postell’s Mortuary Chapel, Orlando.
