Obituary:
Khalil Timothy Simmons, 20, of Orlando went to be with our Heavenly Father on May 6, 2021. Khalil was born on December 16, 2000 in Winter Park, Florida to Pastor John Simmons and Melanie Simmons.
Khalil was an amazing athlete and played many different sports since the age of 3. He was on the swim team for Lake Brantley. He played basketball with Central Florida Hoops and many different AAU teams to include: Run and Gun, OEB, TNBA and Team M.O.A.M. During middle school he played soccer, volleyball, basketball and track and field. The sport he was most passionate about was football. He began with flag football in 1st grade and moved to playing a defensive tackle and defensive end for CFYFL, Apopka Raptors, Apopka High School and Oak Ridge High School. He was also on the Weightlifting team at Oak Ridge High School.
Khalil graduated with honors from Oak Ridge High School in 2019 and just completed his sophomore year at LSU. He was a fun loving and great friend to everyone he met. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Willie Kate Ginyard and uncle Timothy Simmons. He leaves to cherish his memory his sister Samantha Simmons. His paternal grandparents, Pastor Robert Simmons and Bobbie Simmons. His maternal grandfather, Daniel Ginyard, and a host of aunts, an uncle and many cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2021 from 9:30AM until services begin at 11:00AM, New Life Church of God in Christ, 3311 N. Powers Drive, Orlando with Pastor Jerome K. Williams, officiating and Pastor John Simmons, eulogist. Interment: Orlando Memorial Gardens, Apopka, FL.

Beautiful service. The Love, Respect, Leadership, Compassion for Others and the Strong Family Bond was flowing as we Celebrated His Life. Young People Hold on to the Beautiful Relationships.
