Obituary:
Julia Mae Dix, 85, of Orlando, went home to glory on Wednesday, April 6, 2022. Mother Julia Mae was born on January 22, 1937 in Lake Butler, FL to the late Cassie Bell and John Dix. Julia worked as a custodian at Valencia Community College until she retired.
Mother Dix loved the Church of God by Faith with her whole heart and loved being a part of the COGBF family. Mother Dix worked in various areas of the Church. She was a fierce prayer warrior, a role model and relished spreading the gospel to everyone she encountered. Many young women relied on the counsel of Mother Dix to navigate a life of holiness often becoming daughters in spirit. Her presence, her grace and her love will forever be missed by those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by daughters, Sylvia (Elder Joe) Hobbs, Shirley Rivers, Veronica Pringal; sons, Leon (Carol) Keaton, Frank Blount, Jr.; sisters, Claretha Dix, Cathleen (Elder Herbert) Green; brothers, Joseph Dix, Norris (Jacqueline) Dix, Julius (Wanda) Dix; 17 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 15, 2022 from 5-7PM, United Church of God by Faith, 800 Symonds Avenue, Winter Park. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2022, 12:00 Noon at New Life COGIC, 3311 N. Powers Drive, Orlando with Pastor Jonathan L. McKnight, officiating.
