Obituary:
Joseph Silinor Dasmy, 77, of Orlando, departed this life on Friday, July 18, 2025. Joseph was born in Aux Cayes, Haiti on April 15, 1948. He was employed as a bus driver for several years.
Anyone who knew Joseph knew he was a caring, trustworthy, kind hearted and respectable man. In his spare time he enjoyed playing the keyboard, listening to music and being around his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He leaves behind his wife, Lucie Calixte; 7 children, Josias Calixte, Obed Calixte, Jose Dasmy, Judith Dasmy, Johanne Dasmy, Julnor Dasmy, Lucia Calixte; 19 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and many friends. May his soul rest eternally.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025 from 4-6PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, 2:00PM at Postell’s Mortuary Chapel, Orlando with Pasteur Harold Nicoleau, officiating.
