Obituary:
Joseph Clayton, Jr., 84, of Orlando, departed this life on Thursday, September 8, 2022. Joseph was born on January 11, 1938 to late Osie Fowler and Joseph Clayton Sr. in Port St. Joe, Florida. He was a hard worker and labored for over 40 years as a horticultural employee with the Walt Disney Company.
For Joseph, βThe greatness of a man is not how much wealth he acquires but, in his integrity, and his ability to affect those around himβ. Joseph was a faithful member of Fellowship Baptist Church of Pine Hills where he served as the vice president of the usher board. Those who knew Joseph hearts were full. His family and friends loved and honored him. He inspired us with his ideals, faith and service in God, and devotion to his family. He modelled how to make a way to others. We adored him, loved him, and learned from his infinite wisdom.
On Thursday, September 8, 2022, recognizing his devotion and hard work, our Heavenly Father summoned him to a place of rest and peace. Joseph is survived by his loving and supportive wife Helen Clayton; loving children, Joseph T. Clayton, Derrick Clayton, Lois Brown; sisters, Corrine Daniels, Salley (Taylor) Jenkins; 7 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dedicated friends.
A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2022, 12:00 Noon at Fellowship Baptist Church, 6225 Clarcona Road, Orlando with Pastor Arthur D. Sims, Sr., officiating. Interment: Eatonville Memorial Gardens, Eatonville, FL.
