Obituary:

Jeremy James Leighvard, 35, of Orlando, departed this life on Thursday, February 1, 2024. Jeremy, affectionately known as “Jerry”, was born in London, England on July 26, 1988 to Belle and Delroy Leighvard. After his formal education and after graduation, he began a career in technology. He was employed as an IT Specialist in Cyber Security with Centene Management Company at the time of his demise.

Jeremy was caring, trustworthy, kind hearted and respectable. He was taught how to be strong and resilient. He cared for and loved all of his family. Jeremy was a hard worker and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Jeremy is survived by his loving wife, Shanya Carty; parents, Delroy and Belle Leighvard; brothers, Julian (Autherene) Leighvard, Christopher Leighvard; paternal grandmother, Ilona Page; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2024 from 5-7PM at the chapel. A service of celebration will be held on Sunday, February 25, 2024, 11:00 AM at Mt. Olive Seventh Day Adventist Church, 3350 Clarcona Road, Apopka with Dr. Derrick Moffett, officiating. Interment: Woodlawn Memorial Park, Orlando, FL.

    Jeremy has left us too early in life. However God knows best and we leave every thing in his hands. I just want to say to all of us that we have to trust in the Lord and Hold fast to his unchanging hands.

    Jeremy was a gift from God. He was the most amazing husband to me. Now that he is in a better place I still carry him in my heart. I will never forget the amazing memories and experiences we shared. He was such a kind, loving, & supportive husband. I love you always babe.
