Obituary:
Iselma “Elma” Thompson, 73, of Orlando, departed this life on Wednesday, October 15, 2025. Iselma was born on January 24, 1952 in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, West Indies.
Iselma was employed as a nurses aide for several years. Iselma was a faithful member of Solid Rock SDA Church, Orlando. Aside from her church participation, she enjoyed ministering God’s love to people, gardening, cooking, and entertaining family and friends at gatherings. She instilled love, wisdom, and Christian values for all her family to follow. She dedicated her life to serving God with her whole heart and caring for people. Iselma was a beautiful, giving and kind individual that made a lasting impact on many lives, and she will forever be missed.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Earl Thompson; siblings, Gloria Thorne, Carmeta Windette, Fitzgerald Blair, Douglas Blair, Evadne Mitchell, Merlene Blair-Brown, Bevlyn Murray; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025 from 4PM-6PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Sunday, October 26, 2025, 10:00 AM Solid Rock SDA Church, 4955 Rose Avenue, Orlando with Pastor Newton King, officiating. Interment: Orlando Memorial Gardens, Apopka.
