Obituary:

Hazel E. Parkinson, 88, of Ocoee, FL departed this life on Thursday, May 20, 2021. Hazel was born on January 15, 1933 in Clarendon, Jamaica, WI to the late Gladys McLean and Thomas Chambers. Professionally, she was employed as a nurse for several years.

Hazel was a woman of great wisdom. She dedicated her life to service to her family and community. She instilled love, wisdom, and Christian values for all of her family to follow. Her memories will live on in our hearts. She loved her family and showed love to everyone. Hazel was and will continue to be an inspiration to us all for living life in an exemplary way. She was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She leaves to cherish her love and memories to her devoted children; 2 sons, Horace (Jing) Bryan, Michael Parkinson; 3 daughters, Rev. Marcia Parkinson-Harrison, Carlene Parkinson, Lauraine (David) Parkinson-Eguakun; sisters, Daphne, Patricia, Jasmine, June; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 29, 2021 from 12 Noon until services begin at 1:00 PM at Grace Bible Church of Central Florida, 801 Dorscher Road, Orlando with Pastor Gene Pritchard, officiating. Interment: Woodlawn Memorial Park, Orlando.

    Condolences to Mrs. Parkinson’s family
    I worked with her in the 1980’s at Metropolitan Hospital in New York.
