Obituary:

George Allen Martin Jr., 50, a former resident of Sanford, departed this life on Sunday, July 27, 2025 in Douglasville, GA. JR, as he was affectionately known, was born on May 13, 1975.

He attended Seminole County Public Schools. After his formal education, he entered the workforce and became a successful landscaper. JR was a hard worker and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

George is survived by his loving life partner, Teronice Adams; children, George Allen Martin III, Yaskeria Martin, Nykeria Martin; stepdaughters, Quinita Adams, Tayu Adams; father, George Allen Martin Sr.; siblings, Nikki Bacon, Monique Martin, Lashanda Holt, Shawntae Martin, Voneric Small, Clarence Small, Jay Bacon, Cedric Woods, Antoine Cassanova, Reddick Pendleton, Charlie Pendleton; and a host other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 8, 2025 from 4-7 PM at Hickory Avenue Church of God, 503 Hickory Avenue, Sanford. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025, 11:00AM at the Sanford Civic Center, 401 E. Seminole Boulevard, Sanford. Interment: Restlawn Cemetery, Sanford.
