Obituary:
Garfield George Bogues, Sr., 62, of Orlando, departed this life on Thursday, September 2, 2021. Garfield was born on September 2, 1959 in Kingston, Jamaica, WI to the late Amy and Glenford Bogues. Professionally, Garfield was employed as a construction worker with JR Davis Company, Kissimmee for over 25 years. He was an active member of Abundant Life Disciple Center, Orlando. He was a devoted father, brother, grandfather, and friend who will be deeply missed and cherished by all who knew him.
He is survived by his beloved children, Garfield Bogues, Jr., Kurt (Javon) Bogues, Ariel Samantha Bogues, Aren Farrell, Monica (Eddie) Smith-Mitchell, Monique Smith, Lorenzo Smith, Hotesha Bogues; sisters, Merine Francis, Aswrin Williams, Sylvia Bogues, Olive Bogues; brothers, McDuff Bogues, Leonard Bogues; 21 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; companion, Bettye Heron; and a host of other relatives and numerous friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 17, 2021 from 4-6 PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2021, 11:00 AM at St. Mark African Methodist Episcopal Church, 1968 Bruton Boulevard, Orlando with Pastor Michael Smith, officiating. Interment: Washington Park Cemetery, Orlando.

Mr. Bogues was a wonderful man with a loving family. I will continue to keep his family in my thoughts and prayers.
I may not have seen you in years, but you were always in my thoughts and prayers. I will miss our chats. No more pain my uncle. Rest in peace.
