Obituary:
Franklyn Calvin “Willie Bug” Green, 67, of Orlando, departed this life on Tuesday, June 18, 2024. Franklyn, a lifelong resident of Orlando, was born on December 26, 1956 to the late Ola Mae and Roosevelt Green. Professionally, he worked as a security guard for several years.
Franklyn was a dedicated family man. He loved fishing, and he was a die hard fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Orlando Magic. He instilled love, wisdom, and Christian values for all of his family to follow. Willie Bug, as he was affectionately known, was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Green; devoted sons, Wyte T. Green, Doane (Ruthie) Lester, Kuma Foreman; daughters, Trivenea L. (Corey) Benjiman, Towanna Lightbourn, Alyssa Foreman; devoted caretaker, Ann R. Cadogan; former spouse, Josephine Lester; in-laws, Leon (Elizabeth) Lester, Rev. Johnny (Shirley) McHellon, Regina Lester, Annie Gibbs, Rosemary Lester; 9 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 from 4-6PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2024, 1:00PM at Postell’s Mortuary Chapel, Orlando with Pastor Johnny McHellon, officiating.
