Obituary:

Elizabeth D. Kemp, 72, of Orlando, departed this life on Sunday, June 1, 2025. Elizabeth, affectionately called ‘Lois and Liz’, was born on October 20, 1952 in Orlando, FL to the late Leola Posey and Ezekiel Cameron.

She was a woman of many faces. She was a hard worker, a mother, and a great friend to all who knew her. Liz worked her way up to becoming a manager at McDonald’s fast food restaurant until she retired. After her professional career ended, she became a full time caregiver of her beloved grandchildren. Anyone who knew Liz knew she adored, provided for and cherished her grandchildren with her whole heart. She was a faithful member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, Orlando until her health began to decline. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Elizabeth leaves to cherish precious memories of a life well lived: her 3 children; Shannon (Tasha) Kemp Sr., Sheretha Kemp, Byron Kemp Sr.; 1 brother, Willie (Phyllis) Cameron; 9 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025 from 4-6PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025, 11:00 AM at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, 654 W. Anderson Street, Orlando with Pastor Rollie Murray, Jr., officiating.
