Obituary:

Deaconess Lashira Ann Benn, 42, of Orlando, entered eternal peace on Wednesday, September 4, 2024. Lashira was born on January 26, 1982 in Orlando, FL to Cheryl A. Benn and James C. Stanley. Lashira was educated in Orange County Public Schools and graduated from Jones High School, class of 2001. After completing her formal education, she entered the workforce and was employed at WalMart for most of her adult life.

Lashira was a giving and loving woman with a heart of gold. She dedicated her life to serving people. She was instrumental in helping others gain employment and housing. She was an active member of Frewill Deliverance Church, where she served in various capacities and she was a diligent prayer warrior. She was a motivational speaker, always sharing a word of encouragement and love to others. Her generosity, loving spirit and personality will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew her. Lashira was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Lashira, affectionately called “Kitty Cat, Momma Shira, Sistah Soulja and Breezy”, leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her 2 children, Eddie D. Kelly, Tashira Kelly; mother, Cheryl Benn; father, James Stanley; 2 siblings, Sophia M. Passmore, Emmanuel D. Nombre; and a host of other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 27, 2024 from 4-6 PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024, 12:00 Noon at First Baptist Church of Orlando-Henry Chapel, 3000 S. John Young Parkway, Orlando with Bishop Cal Stubbs, officiating. Interment: Washington Park Cemetery, Orlando.
