Obituary:

Charlie Mae Smith Johnson, 60, of Orlando, departed this life on Wednesday, January 6, 2021. She was born on May 5, 1960 to Dorothy Mae and J C Smith in Dawson, GA. In her professional career, she worked as a presser for a dry cleaning business. Charlie Mae, affectionately known as ‘Mae Mae’ by her loved ones, enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her: husband, Vincent Johnson; daughters, Brittney (Jeff) Turner, Alexia Barclay, Danielle (Guss) Fowler; sons, Ulysses (Dominique) Harvey Jr., Lamarcus Harvey, Cordelro Jamall Bryant, Joshua Johnson; brothers, Johnny (Doris) Hicks, Charlie C. Jones; 18 grandchildren; a host of other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 22, 2021 from 4-6PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2021, 12:00 Noon at New Life Church of God in Christ, 3311 N. Powers Drive, Orlando with Pastor Clarence Oliver, officiating. Interment: Washington Park Cemetery, Orlando.
