Obituary:

Carrie Henry Brown, 83, of Orlando, entered her eternal rest on Saturday, October 12, 2024. Carrie, a lifelong resident of Orlando, was born on October 18, 1940 to the late Sarah and Cap S. Kennedy.

She loved the Lord and was a lifelong member of the African Methodist Episcopal Church. Carrie was very active in the Church. She loved music and served as an usher, member of the choir and the steward board of Greater St. Paul AME Church, Orlando for many years. Aside from her church participation, she enjoyed spending time with her beloved grandchildren. Carrie was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Carrie leaves no mourners for she lived a rich Christian life among loving and devoted family and friends, just loved by all. She is survived by her 3 children, Paul (Wanda) Clayton, Renata (Willie) Gallon, Lesly (Festus) Hill; sister, Carolyn Williams; 3 grandchildren. She will live on in the hearts and minds of her family other relatives, church family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 18, 2024 from 4-6PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2024, 11:00 AM at Greater St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church, 1040 S. Parramore Avenue, Orlando. Interment: Woodlawn Memorial Park, Orlando.
