Obituary:
Carl L. Ware, 59, of Orlando departed this life on Thursday, February 2, 2023. Carl was born to the late Judge Ware, Sr. and Margaret J. Thompson on January 27, 1964, in Sanford Florida. He found God and dedicated his life to Christ at Mt. Olive A.M.E. Church. He attended Orlando Public School and played football at Jones High and Heritage Prep School.
Carl met and married Karen Lillybridge in 2015 and he relocated to Chicago, Illinois. Carl loved his mother and his family, and he was never absent when there was a time to fellowship with them. He will be remembered for his charming personality as he was loved by all. Carl would always light up a room when he walked in and was given the name, “Mr. Mercy Drive”.
Carl leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Karen Ware; children, Brandy Milton, Tangela Ware, Skylar Ware, Carl Ware, and Shimara Harris, of Orlando, FL, and Lakisha McCalip of Winter Springs, FL; siblings, Cassandra Anthony, Rev. Debra Cotton, Valerie (David) Frazier, Margurita Ware, Fremona Burrows, Judge Ware, Jr., Cynthia (Rodney) Johnson, Alowetta Bell of Deltona, FL, Alonda Simmons of Palmetto, GA, Octavia Campbell of Montgomery, AL, Robert (Adrienne) Smith, Cortez (Angela) Thompson of Paris, TN, Maryanne Murray of Savannah, GA, Vaneitha (Johnny) Crawford and Judgie Ware of Moore Haven, FL; 11 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and a very special friend, Angela Estes.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 17, 2023 from 5-7PM at the church. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2023, 11:00AM at Mt. Olive African Methodist Episcopal Church, 2525 W. Church Street, Orlando with Pastor Marcus Green, officiating and Rev. Octavius L. Smith, eulogist.
