Obituary:

Bonnie Ruth Drakes, 76, of Eatonville, departed this life on Wednesday, April 26, 2023. Bonnie was born on June 15, 1946 in Tallahassee, Florida to the late Florence Henderson and Clarence Gamble.

Bonnie dedicated her life to providing for her family. She enjoyed being around people and spending time with her family. Bonnie was an active and faithful member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, Eatonville. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her daughter, Lucinda Butler; sons, Eric Drakes and Malone Drakes, Jr.; 10 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and many friends.

The family will recieve guests on Friday, May 12, 2023 from 4-6PM at the church for a wake service. A service of memory will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2023, 11:00 AM at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, 412 E. Kennedy Boulevard, Eatonville.

    Bonnie, my Niece she was funny also thoughtful and kind if it’s anything that she could do for you she would, Bonnie was a hard worker she work work and work until she couldn’t work anymore. She loved her family. She will be missed.
