Obituary:
Bertha Brown Paramore, 89, of Orlando, transitioned from labor to reward on Thursday, December 3, 2020. She was born on November 12, 1931 in Drayton, GA to the late Effie and Hanson Brown Sr. In her professional career, she was a book keeper for a Citrus Plant Company.
Mother Bertha, affectionately known as ‘Grandma Peaches’ by her loved ones, dedicated her life to service to her family and community. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She was the matriarch of the Paramore family, who instilled love, wisdom, and Christian values for all her children and grandchildren to follow. Grandma Peaches was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her: daughters, Althea (Dennis) Jackson; Cynthia Lewis-Massey; son, Ulysses M. Lewis; sister, Martha Medlock; brothers, Hanson Brown Jr., Walter Brown, Kenneth Brown; sister-in-law, Darlene Brown; 4 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 29 great great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 18, 2020 from 4-6PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2020, 11:00 AM at New Life Church of God in Christ, 3311 N. Powers Drive, Orlando. Interment: Washington Park Cemetery, Orlando.
