Obituary:

Bennie L. Ford, Jr., 72, of Orlando, departed this life on Friday, March 7, 2025. Bennie was born on August 20, 1952 to the late Annie Bell and Bennie L. Ford Sr in Leary, GA. Bennie worked in masonry for several years. He was the family ‘handy man’, and could fix anything placed in his hands. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. He was a dedicated member of Greater St. Paul AME Church, Orlando. Bennie, affectionately known as Cap, was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Bennie is survived by his devoted wife, Earlene Ford; 2 sons, Carl B. (Andrena) Ford, Daryl (Vanessa) Ford; 4 siblings, Bobby (Lucille) Sims, Jerria Ford, Johnny Ford, Billy Fuce; 4 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025 from 4-6 PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2025, 11:00 AM at Greater St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church, 1040 S. Parramore Avenue, Orlando with Pastor Marvin Andrews, officiating.
