Obituary:

Austin W. Robinson, 87, of Orlando, departed this life on Thursday, September 1, 2022. Austin was born on January 3, 1935 in Sylvester, GA to the late Ruby W. and William Robinson. After High School, Austin enlisted in the US Army and was honorably discharged in 1959.

Austin had a passion for golfing, fishing and he worked tirelessly as an auto mechanic for several years. He was a devoted family man and enjoyed spending time with his beloved grandchildren. Austin was a loving father, grandfather and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Austin, affectionately known as ‘Pops’, is survived by his daughter, Judith Robinson; sons, Darryl Robinson, Austin Robinson Jr., and Tyrone Robinson; 9 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 9, 2022 from 4-6PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, 1PM at New Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church, 4201 W. Columbia Street, Orlando with Pastor Omega Jenkins, officiating. Interment: Florida National VA Cemetery, Bushnell with full military honors.

    It is often hard to find the right words at a time like this. May you find peace, comfort, and all the love you need in the days to come. Mr. Austin as our family called him was a dedicated family man, outstanding neighbor and a giving person. He will be missed. Our sincerest condolences goes out to the family.
