Obituary:

April Denise “April D” Gilmore, 55, of Orlando, departed this life on Monday, March 11, 2024. April, a lifelong resident of Orlando, was born on February 24, 1969 to Hester and Ernest Gilmore, Sr.

April was employed in the fast food industry prior to her demise. She dedicated her life to providing for her family. She loved being around her children and grandchildren. April D was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

April is survived by her 4 children, Antoinette (Ira) Whitley-Deas, Airandsha Whitley, Derrick Gilmore, Derrell Whitley Jr.; brothers, Roosevelt Breedlove, James Gilmore; sisters, Marian Breedlove, Gloria Breedlove, Barbara (Jimmy) Snelling, Pamela Woolfork, Jacqueline Newsome; 6 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 22, 2024 from 4-6PM at the chapel. A service of celebration will be held on Sunday, March 24, 2024, 1:00 PM at Washington Shores Church in Christ, 2818 Orange Center Boulevard, Orlando with Pastor Trevon Peterson, officiating. Interment: Washington Park Cemetery, Orlando.
