Obituary:

Annie Lee Jackson, 92, of Orlando, departed this life on Sunday, August 17, 2025. Annie Lee was born on May 9, 1933, in Eufaula, Alabama, to the late Levi Jackson and Armie Lee Strong Jackson.
Annie was a hardworking and compassionate woman who spent much of her life as a dedicated domestic worker. For over 60 years, she worked with a family who became more than employers — they became family to her and to her own loved ones. Annie poured her heart into her work and home life with grace, humility, and strength. She devoted her life to raising her children and caring for her family, always putting their needs above her own. Her love was steady, her guidance strong, and her presence a constant source of comfort and support.

Annie was a woman of deep and abiding faith. She was an active and devoted member of Community Baptist Church, where she served faithfully and loved her church family and pastor unconditionally. Her faith was not only professed but lived daily through her words and actions. She also found great joy in life’s simple pleasures — playing cards, fishing, shopping, and spending quality time with her friends and family. Her laughter, wisdom, and warmth filled every room she entered.

Annie shared a close and loving bond with her extended family as well. Among them was Terry Pleus and family, whom she loved dearly and considered part of her own. An especially powerful and unbreakable bond was shared between Annie and her beloved sister, Willie Mae Williams. Their connection was one of deep love, trust, and lifelong sisterhood. Remarkably, Willie Mae passed away just three days before Annie — a testament to the bond that even death could not break.

She leaves to cherish her memory five loving children: Stephen Sylvester Tate – Pamela Tate, Annette Rodgers, Vanessa Rodgers, Curtis Stevenson Jr., all of Orlando, Florida. Annie was a proud and devoted grandmother to: Tawashika Tate, Tommy Lee Tate Jr., Hyron Lamar Rodgers, Tina Tate, Lakisha Tate, Stephen Sylvester Tate Jr., Calvin Tate, Lonzie Wellon Jr., Candy Tate, Shaunte Wellon, Curtis Jerrod Stevenson, Morgan Stevenson, Takara Stevenson, Takira Stevenson, and KT Stevenson — all of Orlando, FL. She is also survived by a host of great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren, all of Orlando, Florida. She leaves behind her beloved siblings: Cherry Jackson of Orlando, FL, Lula Jackson of Orlando, FL, Jerry Jackson of Auburndale, FL, Eric Jackson of North Carolina; along with many other loving family members and dear friends in whom Annie’s legacy lives on.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025 from 9AM until services begin at 10:00AM at A Community Baptist Church, 651 Campanella Avenue, Orlando with Pastor Alfred Moore, officiating. Interment: Woodlawn Memorial Park, Orlando.
