Obituary:

Annette D. Copeland, 82, of Orlando, transitioned from labor to reward on Monday, January 3, 2022. On March 9, 1939, Mother Annette was born in Webster, Florida to the loving parents of Gussie B. and Brian Jones. Professionally, Mother Annette worked as a certified nurses assistant for several years.

She was a dedicated member of 910 Church of God, in attendance regularly until her later years when she was unable to attend. Because she knew we are the church, Mother Annette dedicated her time to assisting with raising her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. She loved cooking and lending a helping hand to anyone in need. Mother Annette was a dedicated mother, sister, grandmother and friend who loved and served the Lord.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories with her daughters, Delois Ann (Darrell) Grant, Katherine (John A.) Thompson, Shelia (Tami) Pittman-Winkle; sons, Dr. Jimmy H. (Yvonneda) Copeland, Jr., Bobby Lee (Teresa) Copeland, Gregory J. Copeland, Horce C. (Tangela) Copeland; brother, Ricky Jones; sisters, Brenda Jones, Jane (Dave) Keaton, Gene (Dave) Sims, Harriett (Francis) Lewis; 21 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and many friends.

May the Lord comfort the entire family in their loss of Mother Copeland, may her family embrace her sweet memories and Jesus perfect peace. Mother Copeland was a beautiful, sweet soul, full of love and faith. I will always remember her beautiful smile. Mother Copeland is no longer in out sight, but she will never depart from our hearts. (2 Corinthians 5:8) We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

Mother Copeland was a very sweet person. I grew up in the same neighborhood and attended 910 in the 70’s. Every time i would come through the neighborhood and Sis. Copeland was working in her yard or sitting in the garage, i would stop and spend time with her. She told me about her health issues, but she still trusted God, no matter what the outcome would be. I went to visit her on January 2nd. I told her i was there and began to talk about Jesus to her. She opened her eyes and moved her hands. I miss my friend, but to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.

Family it is with a heavy heart that I make these comments. Auntie will be missed.
But as James said ” my life is but a vapor ” and the short time we had her she made our life much better
