Obituary:
Leroy “MELLO” Mitchell, 67, of Ocoee, departed this life in December 7, 2025. Leroy, affectionately called “Mello”, was born on December 27, 1957 in Kingston, Jamaica, WI to Genevieve and Victor Mitchell.
Leroy was a caring, trustworthy, kind hearted and respectable man. He loved swimming, and listening to music. He was a provider and devoted his life to caring for his beloved family. He was a hard worker and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Leroy is survived by his 5 children, Ricardo, Ronaldo, Tanicha, Leroy, Patrick Mitchell; 2 brothers, Donald Nix and Garfield Mitchell; 4 sisters, Angela, Maxine, Sandra Mitchell, LuzMarie Lindsay; 6 grandchildren; and a host other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 16, 2026 from 4-6 PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at 1:30 PM at The Way Church of the Nazarene, 3705 N. Apopka Vineland Road, Orlando with Pastor Ronald Benjamin, officiating. Interment: Washington Park Cemetery, Orlando.
