Obituary:
Fillimore S. Wynter, Sr., 68, of Orlando, FL departed this life on Sunday, December 14, 2025. Fillimore, affectionately called ‘Great Man’, was born on March 31, 1957 in St. Thomas, Jamaica WI. He immigrated to the United States and worked as landscaper for several years until retirement.
Fillimore was a man of great wisdom. He dedicated his life to serving his family and church. He instilled love, wisdom, and Christian values for all of his family to follow. He was an active member of Mission of Hope Worship Center until his health began to decline. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and cooking. ‘Great Man’ was and will continue to be an inspiration to us all for living life in an exemplary way. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Fillimore is survived by his beloved wife, Donna Bailey Wynter; 5 children, Erin, Fillimore Jr., Cilena, Fillimore, Brianna Wynter; 4 siblings, Clinton, Doreen, Millicent, Branden; 8 grandchildren; and a host of other loving family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026 from 5-7PM at the church. A service of Celebration will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, 11:00AM at Mission of Hope Worship Center, 5400 Hernandes Drive, Orlando with Bishop Arnold Fraser, officiating. Interment: Orlando Memorial Gardens, Apopka.
