Obituary:
Walter Upshaw, Jr., of Orlando, departed this life on Tuesday, December 16, 2025. Walter, affectionately known as “Pete”, was born on August 19, 1972 to Beatrice Lowery and the late Walter Upshaw Sr. in Eufaula, AL.
Professionally, Pete worked in construction for several years. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, watching football and gardening. He was a man of integrity and strength with a commitment to serving God. He instilled love, wisdom, and Christian values for all his children and family to follow. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Walter is survived by his devoted wife, Patrice Upshaw; 5 children, Dominique, Deondre, Devin, Darius, Dontae Upshaw; mother, Beatrice Lowery; siblings, Patrick, Kevin, Jasper Upshaw; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 26, 2025 from 5-7 PM at the church. A service of celebration will be held Saturday, December 27, 2025, 11:00 AM at The Apostolic Church of Jesus, 4432 Piedmont Street, Orlando with Bishop Daniel Boles Jr. Interment: Washington Park Cemetery, Orlando.
