Mrs, Hurston Bowden taught at Jackson Heights Elementary School for years. She was not my direct teacher, but she had a impact on my life as a young Black woman that carried herself with much class and professionalism. I was inspired to be like her. I honor her for the many years she devoted to the betterment of young people. I pray that she has a place in heaven because she gave so much while here on earth. May God comfort her family in knowing that she is at rest and peace in Jesus’ name. AMEN.
