Obituary:
William D. Shippy, 66, of Orlando, departed this life on Friday, September 9, 2022. William was born on July 21, 1956 in Gaffney (Cherokee County), SC to Mae S. Shippy and Charles Huskey.
William was employed as a chef with the Walt Disney Company for several years. He was caring, trustworthy, kind hearted and respectable. In his spare time, he enjoyed working on computers and bicycles. He was a hard worker and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
‘Ship’ as he was affectionately called, is survived by his children, Cierra, Curtis and Candice; sister, Elizabeth Gregory; brother, Nurice Gregory; and a host other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2022, 2:00 PM at Postell’s Mortuary Chapel, Orlando.
