Obituary:
Myron Lamar McDonald, 60, of Orlando departed this life on Friday, August 19, 2022. Myron, affectionately known as Mac, was born on January 5, 1962 in Orlando, Florida to the late Vera and Oscar McDonald. Myron received his formal education in Orange County Public Schools where he graduated in the Jones High School. Upon graduation, he joined the United States Army and served until he was honorably discharged in 1992. After his military service, he worked as a fork lift operator for several years.
Myron leaves behind to cherish his memory: sisters, Marcia Green, Calandra (Francis) McDonald-Kimbell, Johnithia (James) Jackson-McGee; brother, Llewellyn ( Shanele) McDonald; former wife and friend, Birgete McDonald; and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2022 from 4-6PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Friday, September 2, 2022, 10:00AM at Postell’s Mortuary Chapel, Orlando with Bishop Kelvin L. Cobaris, officiating. Interment: Florida National VA Cemetery, Bushnell, FL with full military honors.

My sincere condolences to you and your family for your loss. We served together in the US Army and “Mac” truly contributed to my military career. We won the Canadian Army Trophy in 1987 and Myron was my tank commander. I will raise a glass of Hennessy in his honor. RIP Big Mac
