Obituary:

Elizabeth “Libba” Sims Revis, 80, of Orlando, went home to glory on Saturday morning, December 25, 2021. Born May 31, 1941 in Norman Park, Georgia to the late Minnie Pearl and Clayton Sims, Sr., Elizabeth helped raise three of her younger siblings. She was married to the late Julius Revis, Jr. for over 35 years until his death January 24, 2002. Together, they had six children.

Libba, as she was affectionately called by her family, enjoyed cooking, music, watching her TV shows, and gardening. She was known for always putting others first and taking care of everyone. She also enjoyed making big meals and loved spending time with her grandkids, family, and friends. A loving mother, grand- mother, sister, aunt, and friend to many, she will be truly missed.

Fondly called Sister Revis by her church family, Elizabeth was baptized at an early age into the Baptist faith and was a longtime member of Orlando’s Community Baptist Church where she served on the usher board, as a choir member, on the kitchen committee, and in many other church activities.

To the parents and children at Kidz R 4 Uz daycare, she was “Grandma.” The first to arrive every morning, Elizabeth loved helping her granddaughter daycare owner, Shamesica Warren, open up the center. She greeted parents bringing their children and cooked breakfast for 15 years. Friends and colleagues at Walt Disney World, where she worked for over 15 years and retired as a Prep Chef, loved to call her Liz.

She is survived by daughters, Deborah J. Sims, Kimberly (James) Long, and Stephanie Revis, sons; Eddie (Brenda) Revis, Lawrence Revis, and Richard Revis; sisters, Evelyn Starker, Katherine Brown, and Shirley Davis; brothers, Walter Allen (Gwen) Sims, and Clayton Sims, Jr.; sister-in-law, Naomi Sims; siblings raised as children, Curtis (Betty) Sims, Carolyn (Walter Gene) Dowell, and Dorothy (Neville) Manning; goddaughter, Miranda Ratcliffe; special friends, Parrie Link, Lois Harris, Ruby Bivins, and Martha Howard; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 7, 2022 from 4PM – 6PM at Community Baptist Church, 651 Campanella Avenue, Orlando. A service of Celebration will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2022, 11:00 AM at New Life COGIC, 3311 N. Powers Drive, Orlando with Pastor Alfred Moore, officiating. Interment: Orlando Memorial Gardens, Apopka.
