Obituary

Deacon William L. Lawson, 87, of Orlando, FL departed this life on Sunday, October 22, 2017. Deacon William, affectionately called Bill, was born on April 3, 1930 to Leona and Levi Lawson in Unadilla, Georgia. He served in the United States Army and later owned his own auto repair shop for several years. He was a faithful member and Deacon Emeritus of Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church, Orlando. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Deacon Lawson leaves his precious memories with his loving and devoted wife, Edna Lawson; daughters, Sylvia Lawson, Sheila Lawson; sons, Patrick Lawson, William T. Lawson, Marvin (Renee) Lawson, Melvin Lawson; sisters, Euine Mae Hendley, Smitta Anderson; brother, Rev. Randy (Rev. Jewel) Lawson; 13 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A wake and memorial service will be held on Friday, October 27, 2017 from 6-8PM at Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church, 5200 W. Church Street, Orlando. Final services and burial will take place in Linden, New Jersey.
