Obituary

Sylvia L. Grant Mullins, 75, of Orlando, Florida transitioned from labor to reward on Wednesday, December 6, 2017.  Sylvia, a lifelong resident of Florida, was born to Trudie and John Grant on January 5, 1942 in Bartow, Florida. Sylvia was employed for several years as a Orange County Public School Bus Driver. She was an active and devoted member of St. Mark AME Church, Orlando. She was a very kind, generous, and loving woman with a heart of gold. She was loved by all and she will be deeply missed.

Sylvia leaves her precious memories with her daughters, Wanda Burgess, Lanita K. Mays, Mary Grider; sons, Willie P. Burgess, Jr., Gennorris Grider; sisters, Kathleen McCloud, Ruby Hardemon, Mary (Lugene) Felton, Trudie (Bernard) Harris; brothers, James (Anita) F. Grant, John (Sonia) W. Grant, Otis (Gwenetta) C. Hicks, Ralph (Erma) Stephens;  and a host of grandchildren, other relatives and dear friends.

 
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 from 4-7 PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Thursday, December 14, 2017, 10:00 AM at St. Mark African Methodist Episcopal Church, 1968 Bruton Boulevard, Orlando with Pastor Terence R. Gray, I, officiating. Interment: Florida National VA Cemetery, Bushnell

nothing can completely take away the pain we feel when we lose a dear love one in death, because we were not created to experience the pain of death Genesis2:15-17 our heavenly father has made the way out for his earthy creation, this hope is found at acts 24:15 please find comfort in it.

We're saddened to hear about your mom's passing. I hope your family receives much support and love during this time. May God grant you strength as you reflect on the future hope he's given us at Revelation 21:3,4. Please read it. Our thoughts are with you all.
