Pearlie Mae McWhite-Brewer, 91, of Orlando, departed this life on Wednesday, July 30, 2017.Pearlie was born in Stockton, Georgia to the late Moses McWhite and Lela “Sirmans” McWhite.” After finishing high school, she relocated to Orlando FL, where met and married the love of her life (Norman B. Brewer). This beautiful union lasted for 49 years and 3 days.

She accepted Christ at an early age and joined St Mark AME Church (when it was located on Avondale Blvd.). The “MARK” is what she affectionately called “her” church. She was a member of Choir #3 for over 50 years. Whenever asked what church she attended, she would proudly give her church name and then say, “There’s no MARK, like ST. MARK”. She was a very active member, serving on numerous boards and auxiliaries at “her” church.

Pearlie was a Proud member of The Lily White and The Modern Majestic Organizations Orlando Chapter for many years.
She was a domestic worker for many years and also worked alone side her husband and his family members at their family owed business, The Brewer’s Chicken Shack (The Shack or Norman’s as it were known by many) for over 30 years. She would later go on to work as an usher/ticket taker at the Orlando Arena where she developed a great love for basketball.
Pearlie loved all people and she never turned anyone in need away and she never said “NO”. She was a great mother, grandmother and friend to everyone she met.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Norman B. Brewer “Brewdy”; and all of her 11 siblings.
She leaves to mourn her two daughters, Norma Jean Brewer”Jeannie” of Orlando, FL, Carla P. “Brewer” Blue “CeePee” (Gregory) of Orlando, FL; five grandchildren, DaJuan B. Brewer, Brandon B. Brewer, DeAndre R. Brewer, DaQuan O. Brewer and Candis L. Dancy, all of Orlando, FL; three great grandchildren; Cameele E. Brewer, DeAndre R. To the Family,
May you know peace during this time of grief. The world has lost a great Pearl! It's only heaven's gain. We will miss her dearly. Keep God ever before you, for He will wipe away all tears. Our families were blessed to have known each other -- our Uncle Norman and Auntie Pearl -- for so many years. Lovingly,
The Manigault, Walton, Powell and Williams Families.
