Lula Mae Barnes, 86, of Orlando, Florida departed this life on Wednesday, June 21, 2017. Lula was born on October 15, 1930 in Ashburn, Georgia to Perry Martin and Irene Holmes. She was employed in housekeeping for several years. Lula was a devoted mother, sister, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Lula leaves to cherish her memories: daughters, Irene Barnes, Peggy Barnes; sons, John (Shirley) Barnes, Lenell (Gwendolyn) Barnes, Rex (Angelia) Barnes, Randy Barnes, Michael (Betty) Barnes; sisters, Nora Adams, Ardelia Taylor; 22 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 30, 2017 from 4-7PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2017, 2:00 PM at Mt. Olive Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, 745 Woods Avenue, Orlando with Pastor Lorenzo Hopper, Sr., Officiating. Interment: Washington Park Cemetery, Orlando.

Dear Barnes Family, I want to express my condolence. God is of the pain we experience when we lose a love one therefore, God provides comfort in the Bible at 2Corinthians 1:;3-4. Further, the Bible states a positive hope for the future at Revelation 21:3-5.

Luda will be missed,,as she sleep awaiting the resurrection may you all find comfort in Jesus words at John 5:28,29 do not be amazed at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out .
