|Leonie Eloise Eldridge-Morrison, 78, of Ocoee, departed this life on Sunday, February 19, 2017. Mrs. Leonie Eldridge-Morrison, also know as ‘Lee’, was born on April 5, 1939 in Kingston, Jamaica, West Indies. Lee spent her formative years attending St. Anne’s Elementary School in Kingston, Jamaica and Immaculate High School in St. Andrew, Jamaica. She went on to work for the Kingston and St. Andrew corporation for nine years.
She moved her family to New Jersey in 1972 and worked in the accounting department of Sunny Electric Company. She eventually went to work for Woodbridge Development Company State School for 23 years until her retirement. She supported and volunteered at local food banks and kitchens. She was a founding member and Second Illustrative Matron of the Alpha District Lodge #1, Star of New Jersey, Chapter 14. She became a Past Illustrative Matron and Prelate for 10 years. After moving to Florida, She became a member of the Palm Bay Chapter #2.
She leaves loving memories to be cherished by her: sons, Anthony Eldridge, Ricardo Eldridge; daughter, Marlene Eldridge; siblings, Errol Johnston, Roy Johnston, Allen Johnston, Noel Johnston, Carol Johnston, Leonie Jackson, Kathleen Johnston, Tony Johnston, Andrew Johnston, David Johnston, Simon Johnston, Inez Johnston; Grandchildren, Tanikah Gayle, Donovan Eldridge, Mariah Eldridge, Anthony Eldridge, Kyle Eldridge, Kayla Eldridge; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 3, 2017 from 4-7PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2017, 10:00AM at Grace Bible Church, 801 Dorscher Road,Orlando, with Pastor Gene Pritchard, officiating. Interment: Oak Hill Cemetery, Clermont.
