Deacon James Edward Dyson, 84, of Orlando, FL, transitioned from labor to reward on Monday, June 19, 2017. Deacon Dyson was born in Winter Garden, FL on March 2, 1933 to George Dyson and Annie Bell Campbell. He was a devoted and active member of The Hope Church of Orlando for several years. He also served in the United States Army and was later employed as a driver with Lynx Transportation. Deacon Dyson was a loving father, brother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Deacon Dyson is survived by his loving children, Dwayne Dyson, Marlena Francis, Wanda Northern, Linday (Carl, Jr.) Dyson-Smith; sister, Rosa Dyson; 6 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 23, 2017 from 4-7PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2017, 11:00 AM at The Hope Church of Orlando, 3032 Monte Carlo Trail, Orlando with Bishop Allen TD Wiggins, Officiating. Interment: Woodlawn Memorial Park, Orlando.
