Obituary

Eugene "Junior" McCormick, 55, of Apopka, departed this life on Monday, January 8, 2018. Eugene’s life story began on May 24, 1962 in Hawkinsville, Georgia. Eugene McCormick was born to his parents Bertha Stephens of Orlando, Fl. And Eugene Singletary (Fannie) of Fairfield, Ohio. He received his education at West Orange High School and later graduated from Cornerstone Academy of Orlando, Fl.

Eugene became parent to his one and only son on November 29, 1983 Tacares McCormick, who later met and married Kristal in May 2008 and took her into his life as a daughter. Together they made him a proud grandfather of four grandsons whom he loved dearly.

Eugene’s professional work life consisted of being a Truck Driver. Eugene drove trucks for various trucking companies for over 20 years and traveled all over the United States. With his extensive truck driving experience and passion for driving. Eugene recently fulfilled a goal in owning his own rig, he enjoyed taking friends and family to ride with him while working. He loved to point out the places he had seen while driving trucks and how cities and places around the country had changed and evolved throughout the years.

Eugene enjoyed music and cooking, getting together with family and friends making sure the time spent was full of joy with lots of laughter. Great music and some of the best food you’ll ever taste prepared by him. Eugene was a very private person and soft spoken but demanded respect, he walked with confidence and showed love and support to his family and friends.

One of Eugene’s favorite pastimes was watching movies and playing with the newest electronic gadgets. He will be missed by all who were blessed to enjoy the presences of Eugene.
