Obituary

Edgar B. Mitchell, Jr., 79, of Orlando, departed this life on Tuesday, April 4, 2017. Edgar, a lifelong resident of Orlando, was born on August 18, 1937 to Dorothy and Edgar Mitchell, Sr. Edgar retired from the Raytheon Company after working several years as a graphic technician. He was a loving husband, father, and brother who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Marjorie Gilmore-Mitchell; sons, Edwin B. Mitchell (Theresa), Bilal Abdullah; daughter, Renee M. Simpson (Bobby); step daughter, Rhonda Anderson-Robinson (Kevin); sister, Jocelyn Mitchell; 2 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A service of memory will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at 11:00 AM, Washington Shores Presbyterian Church, 3600 Rogers Drive, Orlando, with Pastor Erika Smith, officiating.
